Recieved a call from my brother Ryan a few days ago where he casually told me that he blew one of his pinkys off in a firework accident. Luckily it was his left, not his right (unlike in this picture). Quick recovery brother!

Day 9
day 9. Went to a lecture at the AMOA to hear from some artists that are exhibiting there. One of them was Lauren Fenterstock. My vantage point prohibited me from seeing her face when she spoke, but I think she might look like this
Day 8
Day 8. Made the long 8 hour trek back to Austin from the swamps and sprawling live oaks of Louisiana
Day 7
Day 7. Witnessed a lot of devestated tiger fans in NOLA after LSU got shut out in the National Championship game.
Day 6
day 6. In New Orleans. LSU is playing in the national championship. I foresee lots of high fives in my future

day 5. portrait of Chris Jenkins playing the air tenor saxophone. "it's the horn of horns"-Jenkins. fairly intoxicated for this one
Day 4
day 4. about to go to my art opening at the Coates' Guest House in Baton Rouge LA. Going to one of your own art shows is a really strange experience.

day 3. per request "draw an obese american on the beach with a cigar, not one of those big fat ones, but a little cigarillo. give him greasy long balding hair"
